About

Maurice Stein is a well renewed Academy ward winning (planet of apes 1969) makeup artist.He has worked on over 200 films and television shows and has more than 4,000 commercials to his credit.

Stein was the first makeup artist inducted to the California Cosmetology Association Hall of Fame and is included in the National Cosmetology Association Hall of Renown.

In 1984, when he retired as a professional makeup artist in the entertainment industry to found a small cosmetics and special effects supply in Burbank, Maurice's Cinema Secrets became an instant hit among makeup artists, studios, and many of "Hollywood's most expensive faces." The family-run business outgrew its location within three years and moved to the current building on Riverside Drive.

Maurice also formulated his own line of cosmetics to satisfy the special needs of the entertainment business and advance standards for clinical applications in the medical industry. He regularly volunteers to help cancer patients and burn survivors use makeup to minimize the appearance of scars and discoloration.

Through the American Cancer Society and through the assisted help of the National Cosmetology Association, Stein became one of the first make-up professionals to provide his corrective makeup techniques and educational services to the national Look Good, Feel Better Program.

     I decided to buy CS makeup mostly because of great reviews, i don’t buy any makeup without checking it’s reviews first, to avoid wasting money although its on the expensive side … lets see for ourselves if its worth the bucks! fingers cross hehe.Without any further a do her it is.

Application: Apply with non-latex sponge or brush. (Avoid cross-contamination: Never use fingers to apply cosmetics; use a CS palette and spatula to mix.) For sheerer application, dampen sponge/brush with CS Moisture Spray.

 It has 4 range of medium to light colors, Im # 302 -65A for reference.

Texture & appearance

   Its a cream foundation that is matte on application but has a dewy fresh appearance that won't look overly  made up or cakey. Very Blendable.

Coverage

   The coverage is sensational no need for concealers, hides pimple (of course there's still visible bumps), evens out skin tone & hides pigmentation however on very dark pigmented spot it requires more application but for those who don’t have these, its a hassle free all in one application and did i mention it registered sooo good on camera SLR, iPhones, androids, digicam etc. Some colors can also be used to contour and highlight.

Staying power

           Fairly good it holds up at about 3hours and then I get oily afterwards but nothing like a grease ball just dewy by the way I have combo skin however for very oily skin dewy will be greasy so if you will use this as the main foundation I suggest before purchasing read reviews first or better swatch it on your skin to see if it suit your skin type.

Rate: 7/10

        Honestly a bit disappointed that it doesn't last long for oily skin however I will still give it a rate 7 out of 10 because I just so loOove! the blooming effect that it gives, its like your glowing from within, on and off cam & it does not look you have tons of makeup on, plus the versatility of the palette and the coverage wow, I will still repurchase It could have many use. For me It's worth a try.
